Jerry Lavigne, D.O.B circa 1996-1997, with me from 2002-2005 then with me and hubby 2005-2009

I got him from the SPCA of Jean Talon, Montreal on April 8th, 2002. This is his first day. He was very very skinny. He had come from the SPCA from Laval previously where no one wanted him I was told.

In this amazingly cute and cheap 3 1/2 with two balconies and second floor of a quadruplex ( I paid 360$ plus heat, phone etc) in a French and latino neighborhood of Montreal, Quebec (2002) I decided to adopt a dog. A dog that would be MINE. A first dog.

I got a dog on the promise that we would go for a long time trekking alone together on the Quebec and New Brunswick trails that year (which we did, Jerry and I). Three weeks of nomadism and camping throughout villages of Quebec all the way to New Brunswick. Got to Riviere du Loup by the last smokers wagon included train from Montreal that summer of 2002 and camped in the town park. The morning after a bacon and eggs breakfast, we set out for 135 km alone together. It was great. We hitchhiked only once, to come back after three weeks from Edmunston, New Brunswick to Riviere du Loup, Quebec.

Videos of Jerry during a trip in 2007 when he retired with hubby for a year without me. They went camping in haliburton on that video.
