I would like to make a lasagna.
Mushrooms and spinach,vegetarian, by an italo quebecois chef I followed for years and like, José di stasio.

I went to buy all the ingredients: 54$! I will even make the tomato sauce.

I am making the tomato sauce first. It is 1H30pm.

It is 14H20 and the lasagna is assembled and cooking. It takes about 2 hours from strat to finish for that recipe. Cooking time included of about 45-50 minutes for the lasagna, about 10 minutes for veggies and 15 minutes for the tomato sauce...

Of the 54$ grocery I have much left
2$ of mozarella
3$ worth of ricotta
8$ of spinach
one lemon
9$ worth of parmesan
So the meals, 10 portions, was about 32$. BJG loved it so it is totally worth the 2 hours cooking and prep time.
I may steam some brocoli to go with it and cheese sauce for tomorrow.
