I am worrying and wondering whether I should ask the roofer to put a tarp on our roof untilhe comes to repair in 2-3 weeks.

It really stresses me out that no patch up has been done in 2 weeks since inspection if not longer.

The rains are heavy and constant all month, daily, this month.

UPDATE

I have emailed the roof inspector (not the roofer) to ask what he thought of the tarp idea if we have to wait another 2-3 weeks under heavy constant rains. Would it be necessary to prevent roof wood damage or not?
