I grew up devoring, at 12-16 years old, Voltaire, Victor Hugo, beaudelaire, Rimbaud, Maguerite Duras, Marcel Pagnol etc and contemporary french writers in 2000. I also enjoyed the american Jack London as a young child and wrote love stories about two wolves inspired from reading Croc Blanc. The educated quebec french culture I have is excellent though not exhaustive of France at all, where I never lived hence dont know the truth about right now. But to me, they have the best cuisine not too hard to succeed at: try coq-au-vin. Their breads are my favourite IN THE WORLD for me, except I was quite quite enamoured with sweet pan in Spain.
