Such music was unknown to me except in historical french movies where I would have heard it before. Thsi album is ravishing and very deep roots. I would have been 20 years old when I heard this album and hubby loved it so that we played it a lot amongst his vast collection and that of his roomate, now a carribean sound dj in Toronto and english teacher.
