On the way back from two bloody caesar in a can bought, I went down the hill to the school yard forest. School hours are back so I should avoid it now during the week but we saw noone around 2pm.
Its a pretty forest, small of course, being in the middle of a hood, and sometimes it has coyotes. Billy was very good all along and he came back on leash this time. The sun was quite hot, real summer sun though it was only 26-27.
UPDATE
Hubby just is waking up from a late afternoon nap of two hours. It is 5pm. The cats have just been fed. I have to do their litter boxes next. And refresh their waterbowls.
Update again....
We went to Mundy and it was nice as we sat in the bush,on the log, and we chatted 19th century english poetry. Hubby had Thomas Hood's book. the day is winding down now, at 18H00. I am cooking leeks and potatoe soup as I have all the ingredients.
Rosie and her son ADORED the fancy butter croissants we got them this week end. Yay! But they forgot to try it with the jam homemade I bought them too! Oh well. The ham is a smashing success. That was hubby's initiative. They were out of roasted chicken. It would be very nice to do such a small grocery (about 50-60$) again while it is seasonal markets happening on the week end.
