She just read I think the story about Grandma's Beefeater and dancing nights: she said it was 'captivating'. She LOVED it. I am so happy with this effect: I have really been harsh on mother for a good 10 years a while back (ending in 2016 kinda). The retelling of stories half told by her and much fictionalized by me about her childhood memories of her dada and mom seem to really thrill and please her. I am very very happy about this effect of my writing on mother. She had a really tough go with her mom so it is nice I can help with good feelings.

It was the story about her mom's passing that she found captivating and so very good! AWESOME, I was weary of her reaction on that story.
