BJG is not a bad gardener. I am on the other hand. He grew blueberries from a lady in the park in Toronto. And raspberries, his favourite. He even created a pond for the dogs. (Which they only used to eat the head of the fountain(Jerry)). He LOVED his gardening in Toronto. My parents are way way better gardeners than us. Especially dad, Jean Noel. If you saw their property you would be flabergasted: it is a gorgeous oasis, all from my parents sweat and labour. Being a gradener there was a lot of fun: it was already so beautiful thanks to parenst work. All I had to do was water every day of the summer once or twice daily.
