I have very short breath for certain sounds. Om is the most short breath for me. I think practicing these chantings syllables might help my lungs as a smoker. It is a gem that album of guided chanting meditation called Tibetan sounds healing. It comes with a great book. Right now it is all about inner joy and boundless openess and completeness. All the while being under bright shining sun in the desert and blue sky and with a tree. Tenzin rinpoche reminds us of our chakras as well! And our third eye of course, in the crown jewel (the head). The cd is playing on loop! I catch up with listening properly to it all throughout the afternoon,and practice chanting and meditating.
