Drop the drips from the cloud
and into my cup of coffee it splashes
A ballerina dancing , the water hits the coffee
And I am left parched and longing
to absorb all this rain in my body
to become a sponge of a sort
gathering all the skies’ water
for the summer drought
And I call your name in the rain
call it loud and melodious
call it like I mean it
call it over the thunderous water
I have made many mistakes
and none are forgiveable
but by karma purged
Today the rain washes my face
and touches my nose
with its transparent hands
wet hands
slippery hands
massaging my head like a cornflower in spring
being touched by warm air
I bloom under this wetness
I find the courage to tell you once more
I loved you from the start
and will still love you tomorrow
Come closer, now
let’s swim in the skies waters
and as fishes we become
our escape is guaranteed
into this world of air and H2O
where mermaids abund
and fair tales teach us happy endings
