Unless I took baths or cold showers at the time, I don't remember the washrooms of my life. Yet, when you live as a couple together, washrooms become way more important for social moments (in the bath - to chat while hubby sits, brushing teeth while someone is in shower, kissing the freshly shaven face of hubby in the washroom etc).We have a habit here where most often then not, BJG will sit on the lid of the toilet seat and I will be in a boiling hot bath, and we will chat together or listen to the radio (mostly when I am alone) or read each other books (he reads me geology books (textbooks) these days). We are very close and have a lovely relationship after 27 years.
Every morning I hear hubby in the washroom between 5 and 6am, with the radio on while he does his ablutions.
