They wore their armours today

The badger and the silver and white fox

They went into other lairs by the clearing

And stole all the food there

THen they met by the pond

and shared their bounty

"Not a bad day' suggestedthe badger to the fox

'But what is wrong with you?' he asked him

'I ate a rat that gave me an indigestion this morning'

complained the silver and white fox

'Have old rabbits wine I caught today'

And saying this, the badger hands a bottle to the fox

He opens it and drinks it

And suddenly the fox is crying like a child

'This, this taste reminds me of my grandma' he says

'She used to raid every rabbits lair for that drink'

And the fox sobs big tears of nostlagia and sadness

The badger divides the bounty and takes his share

Than, putting his hat on,

and taking his bag,

he says goodbye to the fox

It may seem rude to you, dear reader

how abruptly the badger departed

but a foxes tears is known to bring bad luck

and the badger is superstitious

The fox stayed by the ;pond to get drunk late into the night
