I have mostly read Dogen but ONLY in FRENCH. I made a point of it. His prose is super poetic: Polir la lune  labourer les nuages is the book Brian once gave me that changed my life. After my first overdose on ectasy slipped in my drink at McGill Campus, in Montreal, in 1997, my mind started on a trip for months. I REALLY got into Taoism at that point, to get healthy again. During the psychotic so called months, I had inutition of ghosts in my readings. Totally ill, I still got A- for papers about Marcel Mauss and such. The theme was anthropolgy, my studies, at the time. So reading on Mexican chiapas was very hot for me. All the emanations of earth in that history where haunting me as I was reading it. It was a lot like that when I interacted with native friends in that state. A LOT OF MAGIC, which I however never ever did. Instead, God showed me miracles.
